Who is behind this ColorFontWeek?
The initiative is a partnership between the teams at Adobe (which develops leading design tools like Illustrator) and Fontself (whose font creation tool is the supercharging the color font revolution).
What is special about these fonts?
Color fonts can include color, transparency or texture information, something that was not possible before.
Different versions of a glyph can be included in a color font, including non-colored glyphs for backward compatibility on unsupported apps.
Where can I use these color fonts?
Illustrator CC 2018+, Photoshop CC 2017+ and InDesign CC 2019+ support the OpenType-SVG color font format, along with other apps on MacOS Mojave.
On older MacOS, Windows, other apps or older versions like CC 2015 or CS6, color fonts are not displayed, instead showing a fallback black version.

Just don’t panic if you see black letters, colors will show up in compatible apps like the latest Illustrator & Photoshop versions.
What am I allowed to do with these fonts?
You are allowed to use the fonts for personal and commercial projects with a few restrictions, and you cannot share the fonts.
Please review the complete license (the End-User License Agreement) before installing or using these color fonts.
